Resident Evil 6 To Be Yet Another Revamp?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , , on April 19, 2011 by Cazza

A recent comment from Masachika Kawata of Capcom has revealed that the next entry in the Resident Evil series may be another complete revamp. This is what Masachika had to say on Resident Evil 6;

“The series will see a complete renovation with the next entry on every level. But we can’t forget about all the previous entries that have led to the creation of many possibilities for the franchise. I can’t say if we’re going to make it (Resident Evil 6) survival horror or a shooter, but I can say that it’ll be totally different.”

I say we can take this as confirmation that Resident Evil 6 is going to be something we’ve never seen from the series. With Operation Racoon City bringing about a change to the series too, it seems Capcom are becoming quite experimental with the franchise. E3 is just around the corner so who knows? Maybe they’ll shed some light on this then.

Rumour – Dio Brando In Marvel vs Capcom 3!?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , on December 5, 2010 by Cazza

I did not see this coming. A recent update to the Marvel vs Capcom 3 page on IMDB has revealed the possibility of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure character Dio Brando making an appearence. While it’s classed as a rumour, Megaman was revealed in the same fashion earlier this week. Will Dio be a playable character? Will he just appear in an ending? I don’t care, as long as he’s in. Obligatory WRYYYYYYYYY.

I apologise for the generic header image. Too lazy to make an image of Edgeworth being sad. A post on fighting game website Shoryuken has revealed that the full roster for Marvel vs Capcom 3 may have just been leaked. Hit the jump for the leak list, but be wary of spoilers.

Rumour – House Of The Dead: Overkill 2?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , , , on November 9, 2010 by Cazza

Nintendo Life have recently stated that reliable sources from SEGA have informed them that a sequel to their  2009 on-rails shooter is on its way. Simply codenamed “House of the Dead Overkill 2”, the game is expected to be released sometime around mid 2011. No specific platform has been announced. SEGA have given their usual of response of not commenting on rumours, which isn’t anything shocking.

We knew it was coming but you can’t help but feel surprised. I simply adored Overkill and I welcome the sequel with open arms. Just as long as I get more amusing scripting and F-Bombs.

Taken from the lovely chaps over at GoNintendo, we now have a possible starting time for Nintendo’s 3DS event, which will feature the long awaited confirmation of a release date … for Japan anyway. We’ll be sure to report on it when we can.

3DS – No US/European Details?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , on September 24, 2010 by Cazza

Gaming website IGN have recently posted about what we can expect from Nintendo’s 3DS announcement on the 29th of this month. While we’ll be getting the specs of the handheld and various other bits of information, a release date and price may not be included. Taken from the article in question;

“This is Japan’s show and everything that will be coming out of Japan will be for that territory – we’ve already been told that no foreign press will be able to attend this September 29th event.”

This spells bad news for us here in Europe. We get the short end of the stick all the time but this is quite a blow. Disappointed? I sure am.
