Resident Evil 6 To Be Yet Another Revamp?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , , on April 19, 2011 by Cazza

A recent comment from Masachika Kawata of Capcom has revealed that the next entry in the Resident Evil series may be another complete revamp. This is what Masachika had to say on Resident Evil 6;

“The series will see a complete renovation with the next entry on every level. But we can’t forget about all the previous entries that have led to the creation of many possibilities for the franchise. I can’t say if we’re going to make it (Resident Evil 6) survival horror or a shooter, but I can say that it’ll be totally different.”

I say we can take this as confirmation that Resident Evil 6 is going to be something we’ve never seen from the series. With Operation Racoon City bringing about a change to the series too, it seems Capcom are becoming quite experimental with the franchise. E3 is just around the corner so who knows? Maybe they’ll shed some light on this then.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 On The Way?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , , on January 13, 2011 by metazura

Square Enix, creators of the Final Fantasy series may have a follow up to 2010’s title; Final Fantasy XIII up their sleeves.

The URL, “” was recently registered by the company, considering the original title’s official site is ““, I wouldn’t be surprised if XIII-2 is announced by the end of the year.

Though I didn’t think Final Fantasy XIII was the best titles in the franchise’s recent history, I still found myself adoring both the landscapes, character designs and soundtrack. If Square fixes some of the slight issues I had with the game, they could have a real hit on their hands.

Rumour – Dio Brando In Marvel vs Capcom 3!?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , on December 5, 2010 by Cazza

I did not see this coming. A recent update to the Marvel vs Capcom 3 page on IMDB has revealed the possibility of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure character Dio Brando making an appearence. While it’s classed as a rumour, Megaman was revealed in the same fashion earlier this week. Will Dio be a playable character? Will he just appear in an ending? I don’t care, as long as he’s in. Obligatory WRYYYYYYYYY.

Rumour – House Of The Dead: Overkill 2?

Posted in Rumours with tags , , , , on November 9, 2010 by Cazza

Nintendo Life have recently stated that reliable sources from SEGA have informed them that a sequel to their  2009 on-rails shooter is on its way. Simply codenamed “House of the Dead Overkill 2”, the game is expected to be released sometime around mid 2011. No specific platform has been announced. SEGA have given their usual of response of not commenting on rumours, which isn’t anything shocking.

We knew it was coming but you can’t help but feel surprised. I simply adored Overkill and I welcome the sequel with open arms. Just as long as I get more amusing scripting and F-Bombs.
